NCERT Recruitment 2016 - 69 PGT, TGT, PRT, WET, Headmaster Posts

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) an apex organization for Educational Research, Teacher Training and Development of Curriculum and Instructional material in school education, has released an employment notification for recruitment to the post of Assistant Headmaster, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Primary Teacher (PRT) & Work Experience Teacher (WET) to fill 69 vacancies.

A Written Test will be conducted for the selection of posts. Online applications are invited from official website www.ncert.nic.in from 10th September 2016 to 26th September 2016 up to 23:59 hours

Scale of Pay
  • Assistant Headmaster - PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 with GP Rs. 5400
  • Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) - Rs. 9300-34800 with GP of Rs. 4800/-
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - Rs. 9300-34800 with GP of Rs. 4600/-
  • Primary Teacher (PRT) - PB-II Rs. 9300-34800 with GP of Rs.4200
  • Work Experience Teacher (WET) - Rs. 9300-34800 with GP Rs.4600 

Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years as on 1st January 2016.SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen candidates will be given age relaxation as per Govt of India rules.

Education Qualification :

a) Assistant Headmaster - Candidate must hold (i) A Master Degree from recognized university with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.(ii) B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree.

b) Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) - Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or Master Degree in concerned subject with atleast 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University

c) Post Graduate Teacher (Guidance Counsellor) - Candidate must have completed MA/M.Sc.(Psychology) from a recognized college or university with one year Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling OR M.A./M.SC/M.Com with B.Ed/ M.Ed. qualification with Regular one year Post graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counselling

d) Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science) - Candidate must possess B.E/ B. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) or M.Sc (Computer Science)/ MCA or B.Sc (Computer Science) / BCA or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject

e) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects

f) Primary Teacher (PRT) - Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks

g) Work Experience Teacher (WET) - Matriculate passed or Three years Diploma after Higher Secondary in relevant field

Selection Process : Selection will be made through a Written Examination.Result will be displayed at NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in

Application Fee : Application fees charges are Rs.500/- (non-refundable) which should be pay by candidates through Bank Draft/Banker Cheque drawn in favour of "Secretary, NCERT" and payable at New Delhi.No fee charges for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates & NCERT employees.Candidate's name should be written on the reverse side of the Bank Draft and Bank Draft must be send with application form.

How to Apply : Applications must be submit online through NCERT's website www.ncert.nic.in from 10th September 2016 to 26th September 2016 up to 23:59 hours through 'Announcement' link. After final submission of application, candidate must take printout of a confirmation page with a Unique Registration Number (URN).Candidate have to send printout of application along with recent passport size photograph, cross sign the photograph, sign application form,Demand Draft/Banker to Section Officer, Recruitment-I Section, Room No. 12, 5th Floor, Zakir Hussain Block, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi- 110016 by ordinary post till 10th October 2016 up to 5.00 pm. The envelope must be superscripted as “Name of the post applied, Advt. No. and URN No.”
