Government of India , Ministry of Environment Forests & Climate Change, Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata, has issued a notification to fill 13 vacancies of Himalayan Research Associate & Himalayan Research Fellow at Himalayan fellowship "Lepidoptera (Insecta) as potential Indicator-Taxa for tracking Climate Change in the Indian Himalayan Landscape" under NMHS programme at Zoological Survey of India, Head Qtrs., ‘M’ Block, New Alipore, Kolkata.

Education Qualification

(i) Himalayan Research Associate - Candidate must possess M. Sc. & Zoology/ Life Sciences equivalent qualification

(ii) Himalayan Research Fellow - Candidate must possess M. Sc. Zoology/ Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks

Selection Process : The selection of Himalayan Research Associate and Himalayan Research Fellow will be through a written test followed by a personal interview. The written test will be of qualifying in nature. Candidates who have cleared UGC/CSIR NET-JRF will have to appear for the interview only

Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview have to register from 9:45-10:45 AM on the day of interview at Zoological Survey of India, Head Qtrs., ‘M’ Block, New Alipore, Kolkata. along with duly filled-in application, original documents & attested true copies of testimonials in support of qualifications, experience, date of birth etc., mark sheets.Candidates can download prescribed application form from the Zoological Survey of India website zsi.gov.in.
